Umbrella take-home pay calculator.
See how your assignment rate becomes take-home pay, with every employer cost and deduction shown.
Assumptions. 2026/27 rates and thresholds, calculated on a non-cumulative basis for a single pay period. Assumes you have opted out of the workplace pension, so no employee or employer pension contributions are shown. Holiday pay is funded from the assignment rate and forms part of gross pay. Results are estimates; your actual payslip may differ.
How the calculation works
- Assignment income is your rate multiplied by your hours or days.
- Our margin comes off: £20 a week on Standard, £22.50 on Platinum.
- Employer National Insurance at 15% above £96 a week is paid from what remains. What is left is your gross taxable pay.
- Your Income Tax, National Insurance and any student loan are deducted to give your take-home pay.
The calculator uses 2026/27 rates and thresholds and works on a single pay period. It assumes you have opted out of the workplace pension. If you stay in the pension, both you and Kingsley Crest contribute, which changes the figures; ask us for a personalised illustration.
