What is veriPAYE and how does it support payroll verification?

FCSA's payslip verification tool lets agencies check workers' payslips against payment records, free of charge.

veriPAYE is a payslip verification tool run by the Freelancer and Contractor Services Association (FCSA). It lets agencies check that the payslips workers receive match the payment records of the umbrella company or provider that paid them.

What it checks

According to FCSA, veriPAYE gives encrypted verification of worker payslips against the provider's payment records. Source: FCSA.

Who can use it

  • Recruitment agencies, free of charge since August 2025.
  • Umbrella, CIS and PEO payments are all covered.

Why it matters

Since April 2026, agencies can be liable for unpaid umbrella PAYE. Checking payslips independently, rather than relying on a provider's word, is one of the most direct ways to spot problems early.

What it does not do

Verification is a check, not a guarantee. It does not replace your wider due diligence, and it does not remove an agency's liability.

Kingsley Crest is completing its integration with veriPAYE. Once it is live, agencies and end clients will be able to verify our payslips free of charge through FCSA's Diligence Hub. Read more on our FCSA Diligence Hub and veriPAYE page.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need to be FCSA members to use veriPAYE?

FCSA says agencies can register through the veriPAYE website. Check the current requirements with FCSA.

Does using veriPAYE mean a provider is FCSA accredited?

No. veriPAYE verification and FCSA accreditation are different things.
